“Fish day” in USSR

In 1976, the USSR has introduced so called “fish day” (a day of fish food preference). It was assumed that the biggest sales of fish and fish products would be reached on Thursdays when in majority of restaurants’ and cafes’ menus fish dishes were the most present.
